Year after year, our school is lucky to have a very active committee of enthusiastic, interested parents who work with the Principal, Staff and Board of Management to build effective partnerships between home and school, thus promoting the interests of the pupils. The Parents Association of Granagh N.S. works in partnership with the school to promote a happy and caring community where our students are encouraged and supported to reach their full potential.
The Parents Association undertake a number of activities in consultation with the school Principal that promotes the involvement of parents, and that supports the pupils, parents and staff.
They:
- Foster good relations between parents, teachers, students, the Principal and Board of Management
- Encourage parental involvement and participation in religious, social and sporting activities through partnership between parents, teachers and school management
- Engage in fundraising activities to help provide financial assistance to school when needed
- Offer programmes, information etc to parents
- Engage with the Principal in relation to school issues
